School Organisation

The Foundation Stage is organised as one class and the children are taught in both chronological and ability groups to ensure progression towards the Early Learning Goals. In Key Stages 1 and 2, children are organised in mixed ability classes depending on their age and with some consideration of their ability. Three full-time teachers in Key Stage 1 and 5 full-time teachers in Key Stage 2 implement and assess appropriate work as detailed in the school's Long Term Plan. Qualified teachers cover timetabled Planning, Preparation and Assessment time throughout the school. All classes receive some Teaching Assistant support in order to meet specific needs.
